What is the process for booking my trip?
1- Contact us at contact[@]loiresecrets.com and let us know your wishes for your stay with as much information as possible to best personalize our proposal: dates of your stay, number of travelers, the name of your accommodation (if you already have one), your interests and any other important information for your stay (dietary requirements, people with disabilities, wheelchair users, etc.).
2- We send you a customized offer within a few days, with a presentation of the proposed trip and a quote. Our quotation can be modified according to your wishes.
3- If you wish to confirm, we require a deposit of 50% of the total cost of the trip (by credit card or bank transfer).
4- 45 days before the start of the trip, we require payment of the balance (by credit card or bank transfer).
5- As soon as we receive it, we’ll send you your vouchers, along with your program and the contact details of our partners you’ll meet during your stay (guide(s), driver(s), driver-guide(s), winegrower(s), castle owner(s)…).

Can I mix regions in Western France?
It is of course possible to combine several regions during your stay in France. Loire Secrets specializes in the Loire Valley, Normandy and Brittany. If you’re interested in other regions in addition to these, we can put you in touch with an incoming agency specializing in these areas.
What season should you choose to make the most of Western France?
It’s possible to visit Western France at any time of year.

You’ll discover lush green landscapes in full bloom, particularly in the pretty gardens of the Châteaux de la Loire or the gardens of Giverny in Normandy. It’s less crowded than summer, and temperatures are mild.

The days are warmer and sunnier, ideal for discovering the Châteaux and gardens of the Loire and the seasides of Brittany and Normandy. However, there are a lot of tourists in summer.

In the Loire Valley, the vines are magnificent and colorful, temperatures are still mild throughout Western France and there are fewer tourists, even if there may be more rain.

Winter:
It’s a magical time of year to visit the Loire castles decorated for Christmas. However, the weather is colder.
Can we organize stays with children?
It’s perfectly possible to organize family trips. We can tailor experiences and activities to suit young and old alike. Our guides can easily adapt to children, and we provide car seats in the vehicles according to the age of the kids.
Does the trip take place in a group, with other people we don’t know?
No, all our trips are private and tailor-made. You’ll live the experience amongst yourselves, and with the local people you’ll have the opportunity to meet: guides, winemakers, castle owners, chefs…
Will I be accompanied during my stay?
During your stay, you will always be accompanied by a driver, guide or driver-guide (unless you really don’t want to be).
Can you organize a stay for me if I already have a car?
It’s possible. We tend to specialize in creating driver-guided tours to ensure greater comfort and a complete experience, with plenty of explanations about the area in the vehicle with your guide. We can, however, create a tour with meeting points that you’ll have to drive to yourself.
I have special dietary requirements – will they be catered for?
Of course, we’ll inform the restaurateurs and your guide of any special dietary requirements you may have. If you are taking part in a cooking class, the chef will also be informed so that he can adapt the recipes. Please let us know as soon as possible.
Can you book train and plane tickets?
We are not licensed to book rail or air travel. However, we will be happy to advise you on your choice of travel. Please contact us for information and recommendations. Once you have purchased your tickets, please send us your travel details (flight/train number, timetable, etc.) so that we can inform your driver or guide. This will ensure optimum coordination and allow for any delays.
Do I have to pay extra for using the service of your travel agency?
Our rates include our expert coordination of your trip. However, if you ask us to make numerous changes to your quotations, we will have to apply additional design and management fees.
What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay by credit card (excluding American Express) or bank transfer. A deposit of 50% of the total cost of your trip is required if you wish to make a definitive reservation. The balance will be requested 45 days before the start of your stay.
